IV Therapy

What is IV Therapy?

Intravenous therapy (IV) is a therapy that delivers fluids directly into a vein.  In Vitamin IV therapy, nutrients are injected directly into the veins, and consequently, the cells absorb them more easily. The nutrients that are most commonly injected in IV Therapy are a mixture of calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, and C, folic acid, glutathione, and biotin.  Intravenous therapy is used to treat many clinical conditions such as arthritis, allergies, infections, and much more. Depending on your therapy and your body's absorption rate, treatments can last from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Types of IV Therapy

Chelation therapy is used to remove heavy metals from the bloodstream by reducing the damage caused by free radicals that can cause arteriosclerosis. For this purpose, tetra-acetic acid ethylene diamine (EDTA, an amino acid) is administered intravenously. This acid binds to heavy metals such as iron, lead, and calcium, and removes them from the blood and excretes it via urine. Chelation therapy is believed to reduce the possibility of developing atherosclerosis, which could be effective against heart attacks, strokes, senility, and cancer.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
Hydrogen Peroxide
(H202)
Glutathione

The Myers cocktail is a mixture of vitamins and minerals developed by John Myers, and is widely used in the US to improve the immune system, combat fatigue, alleviate allergies, and reduce the symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Asthma. The cocktail is delivered intravenously, therefore the problems associated with its digestion are avoided, and it serves to provide a large amount of energy to the body.
